The individual while reciting the mantra should:
- Rise before sunrise and bathe before chanting the mantra.
- Wear yellow or red clothing.
- Mentally pray to Lord Ganesha before starting.
- Face north while seated and perform these actions:
- a) Light a lamp using pure cow ghee.
b) Arrange a bouquet of red or yellow flowers.
c) Offer yellow-colored incense or a different fragrance.
d) Present yellow-colored sandalwood paste.
e) Offer yellow-colored fruit, like bananas, or sweets.
