All You Need to Know about Bhadrakali Ekadashi Mantra
The 11th day of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) – the waning phase of the moon – in the month of Jyeshta (May – June) is celebrated as Bhadrakali Ekadasi.
It is devoted to Goddess Kali, as the name implies, and is mostly observed by Aryan Saraswat Brahmins in Punjab, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir.
The date of Bhadrakali Ekadashi in 2022 is May 26.
On the Bhadrakali Ekadashi day, Aryan Saraswat Brahmins believe that Goddess Kali or Bhadra Kali manifested her holy presence on earth to eliminate Adharma.
In other regions of India and by various groups, this Ekadasi is known as Apara Ekadashi. This Ekadasi is known in Orissa as Jalakrida Ekadasi and is linked to Lord Jagannath.
It’s important to remember that Bhadrakali Ekadashi has nothing to do with Lord Vishnu’s Ekadasi fasting.
Another important thing to note is that After chanting the mantra seven times, offering black coloured clothing to Kali temples help in wish fulfilment.
