How to Chant Rudra Gayatri Mantra?
- Take bath to get yourself purified physically.
- Now, remember Lord Ganesh to purify your soul.
- Dress in white or ochre-coloured clothes.
- Face north while seated.
- Use cow ghee to light a lamp with one wick.
- Offer white Flowers.
- Offer uncooked rice.
- Offer red chandan or kumkum. Apply it to your forehead like a tilak.
- Offer seasonal fruit.
- Repeat the mantra 108 times.
When to Chant Rudra Gayatri Mantra?
• On every Monday, it can be chanted in the morning or during Pradosha (starting 1.5 hours before sunset).
• It can be recited on Chaturdasi and Trayodasi, which is the thirteenth day of a lunar fortnight (fourteenth day of a lunar fortnight).
• Chanting the mantra on full moon days is also seen as lucky.
Important to note :-
The prayer has to be performed for 21-days. If performed every day, then it should be done constantly for 21 days. However, if done on Monday, then it should be done on 21 Mondays. Women can recite the mantra even while having their periods. The mantra can be said without any restrictions.
